Product Launch at SEMA 2025

The Moment

Narwhal was preparing to debut the MK1, positioned as the world's first carbon fiber truck topper, at SEMA 2025, the largest aftermarket automotive expo in the world.

The claim was bold: ultralight, performance-first, carbon fiber construction. The launch needed to feel like a manufacturer-level rollout, without manufacturer-level resources.

The Problem

How do you enter a saturated aftermarket category and feel like a major manufacturer without a major manufacturer budget?

The aftermarket truck space is crowded and language-heavy. "Rugged." "Adventure-ready." "Legendary."

Narwhal's advantage is technical and specific. The work needed to earn belief quickly and translate into short-form assets for distribution leading up to and during SEMA.


The Decisions

We wrote the creative around proof. Instead of leaning on messaging, we focused on showing real performance and specificity on camera. The film centered on what makes the MK1 different: ultralight carbon fiber construction, modular functionality, and real-world durability.

What began as a brand film became a production designed to support a flagship launch film, vertical cutdowns, and social content.

Real performance meant real risk. The shoot required disciplined safety planning and precise coordination to execute without compromising the work. We delivered dozens of videos and photos from a single shoot.


The Outcome

Narwhal debuted the MK1 at SEMA 2025 with a clear product story and launch assets designed to support their brand growth.

Following the show, Narwhal opened pre-orders for major truck platforms including the Ford F-150, Toyota Tacoma, and Ford Ranger, with additional GM fitment announced shortly after.

The launch film and cutdowns continue to support paid media, web presence, and brand positioning.

Why It Mattered

This was Narwhal's first real moment in front of the industry. The work had to prove the bold product claims were true. By prioritizing visible proof over language, the launch positioned Narwhal as a credible new manufacturer in a category dominated by legacy players.
